Grant Contract with Chiranabin on 16 March 2017

Under the Government of Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme, on behalf of the Government of Japan, Consul General of Japan in Kolkata, Mr. Masayuki Taga, signed a Grant Contract with Mr. Sukumar Sau, General Secretary of NGO, Chiranabin, for the grant amount of US$ 67,345 on 16 March 2017 at the Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata.
 
The grant will be utilized by the NGO to implement a project titled The Project for the Construction of Shelter Home for Street Children and Schedule Caste Children in Parbakshi Village, West Bengal, for constructing a building to provide the shelter care, protection, medical treatment, nutritional service and social motivation with rehabilitation to vulnerable children at Chiranabin’s project complex.

Mr. Masayuki Taga in his address mentioned that this project proposed by Chiranabin has been selected among dozens of applications received by the Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata. He hoped that the project will be implemented quickly by utilizing the grant properly, so that the welfare of the vulnerable children can be improved. 
 
Mr. Sukumar Sau expressed heartfelt gratitude and innumerable thanks to the Government of Japan for unflinching devotion for sanctioning the project proposal towards the welfare of orphans, Schedule Caste boys and street children. He said that their equality, fraternity and integrity will be strengthened with the Government of Japan for rendering their noble deeds and affectionate regard to the neglected and vulnerable people.
