Euphonies of Clarinet

Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata and The Calcutta School of Music organized a musical evening by Japanese clarinet player, Hiromi Takahashi, with piano accompaniment by Savio Menezes on 23 December 2018 at Sandré Hall, The Calcutta School of Music, Kolkata.

Hiromi Takahashi played a few Japanese tunes in solo and then with piano accompaniment by Savio Menezes as well. The duo also received great appreciation on playing a popular Bollywood classic number before concluding the program. Members of The Calcutta School of Music expressed sincere desire to listen to Takahashi again.

 
          

Hiromi Takahashi graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, Winds Course (Clarinet). At present, he is playing Clarinet as a member of “ACOMENTAL” acoustic band and performing as solo player too. Hiromi is also teaching Clarinet and coaching Wind Orchestras of high schools and junior high schools in Japan.
Savio Menezes started playing the piano from the age of 8 years. He is a performer and teacher at The Calcutta School of Music and also associated with the band Krosswindz.
 
Hiromi Takahashi also played at Bidhannagar Mela at Central Park, Salt Lake, Kolkata on 22 December 2018.
