Japanese Cultural Event: Kyogen performance

4 members of the Shigeyama Sengoro family visited Kolkata and performed Kyogen, Japan’s traditional form of comedy during 18 – 21 February 2024, at several places such as Victoria Memorial Hall, Rabindra Bharati University Tagore House, and Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, Kolkata.
The audience at each place enjoyed their performance and gained some knowledge about traditional theatre of Japan. Members of the Shigeyama family also conducted a workshop for students of drama department of Rabindra Bharati University.
