Japan Film Festival (Puri)
Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata, The Japan Foundation, India-Japan Friendship Center, Japan and Chandra Sekhar Academy organised a Japanese Film Festival from Friday, 15 November to Sunday, 17 November 2019 at Sri Krishna Cinema in Puri.
A total of 6 Japanese films were screened. Students and people of Puri came to see the films. Audience of around 300-350 in total appreciated the venture. The last day ended with people clapping after every movie.
This was the very first Japanese Film Festival organised by Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata at Puri.
The film festival provided an opportunity to the people living in and around Puri to have a better understanding about Japan, its culture and way of life, promoting better understanding and friendship.
