We take pleasure in informing you that the Inauguration ceremony of the vocational training centre for the distressed and deserted women at NGO, Alternative Rural Movement (ARM)’s complex in Balasore, Odisha was conducted by
Mr. Masayuki Taga, Consul General of the Consulate-General of Japan in Kolkata on The International Women’s Day, March 8, 2019.
Mr. Taga, Consul General of Japan in Kolkata expressed his appreciation and encouragement to ARM in mentioning, utilizing the vocational training centre in the best possible way will only benefit women in the region, not the construction. He truly believes that ARM can make a great difference for upbringing women through acquiring vocational skills in the supported training centre.
Mr. Manoj Swain, Project Coordinator of ARM expressed his sincere gratitude to the people and the Government of Japan for the gracious support to construct the vocational training centre for women in this region. ARM will do their best for needy women to uplift their livelihood as well as status in the society.

Under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP), Alternative for Rural Movement (ARM) utilized the grant US$ 85,992 for the construction of a two-story building and to purchase several kinds of training equipment with the support of the People and the Government of Japan.
According to ARM, in this vocational training centre, approximately 200 women will receive skill upgradation training in different batches, which will contribute to their self-employment opportunities as well as their better livelihood.Mr. Taga, Consul General of Japan in Kolkata expressed his appreciation and encouragement to ARM in mentioning, utilizing the vocational training centre in the best possible way will only benefit women in the region, not the construction.
