Consul General NAKAGAWA visited Bihar

Consul General of Japan in Kolkata, Mr. NAKAGAWA Koichi visited Bihar from August 7 to 9 2023.
On August 7, Consul General NAKAGAWA met with the Chief Secretary of Bihar, Mr. Amir Subhani, where they exchanged views on Japan India relationship including tourism and people to people exchange.
On the same day, Consul General attended the inauguration of ‘G20 Together We Art’ held at Bihar Museum. The participating Japanese artist, Ms. SHINE Misako whose painting titled ‘Seasons’ displayed in the Art Exhibition was also present.
On August 8, Consul General NAKAGAWA visited the historic Nalanda ruins. He also visited the Japanese Temple in Rajgir, where he was received by the Japanese monk Mr. OKONOGI.
On August 9, Consul General NAKAGAWA visited the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya where he met with the monk Ven. Bhikkhu Deenanand.
On that day, Consul General visited the Prema Metta – Japanese Language School and Orphanage. He interacted with the students and appreciated their sincere efforts. He also met with the Japanese teacher Ms. MOMOSE and discussed the topics including promoting Japanese language education in Bihar and sending technical interns from India to Japan.
