36th Japanese Language Speech Contest in Eastern India

On January 25, 2025, Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata organized the 36th Japanese Language Speech Contest in Eastern India in collaboration with the Indo-Japan Welfare and Cultural Association in Kolkata.
18 students delivered their speeches in Japanese in the junior category.
Mr. YAMASAKI Matsutaro, Acting Consul General, Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata expressed his hope that the students will continue to study Japanese and become a bridge between Japan and India in near future. The Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata would like to continue to support Japanese language education in India.
