Deputy Consul General ASHIDA attends a Cultural Event at Visva-Bharati

On November 17, 2025, Deputy Consul General ASHIDA attended a cultural event at the Seminar Hall of Nippon Bhavana, organized by the Department of Japanese in collaboration with Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata.
Deputy Consul General spoke about Japan and encouraged and enlightened the students of Visva-Bharati about the benefits of studying in Japan. The event witnessed some spectacular cultural performances by the students of the Department of Japanese and some enthralling musical presentations by Deputy Consul General ASHIDA.
During his visit, Deputy Consul General ASHIDA met with the Vice Chancellor of Visva-Bharati, Dr. Probir Kumar Ghosh, and also with the Director of Rabindra Bhavana, Prof. (Dr.) Debashis Bandopadhyay.
Later, Deputy Consul General had a guided tour of the Tagore Museum at Rabindra Bhavana also the houses of Rabindranath Tagore by the concerned University officials.
