37th Japanese Language Speech Contest in Eastern India

On March 1, 2026, Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata organized the 37th Japanese Language Speech Contest in Eastern India in collaboration with the Indo-Japan Welfare and Cultural Association in Kolkata.
Around 9 students delivered their speeches in Japanese in the junior category.
Mr. ASHIDA Katsunori, Deputy Consul General, Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata, expressed his deep appreciation towards the enthusiastic participation of the students and expressed his hope that the students will continue to study Japanese and become a bridge between Japan and India in near future.
