Announcement: MEXT 2027 Applications Open!

Application for the Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) for the year 2027 is now open for candidates interested in studying in Japan.
The categories to apply for are as following:
-Undergraduate (5-year program to pursue a Bachelors' Degree)
-College of Technology/Kosen (4-year program to pursue a degree course)
-Specialized Training (2-year program to pursue a certificate course)
BENEFITS: Free tuition fees, monthly stipend, one year Japanese language course and one return air ticket.
DEADLINE: 25.05.2026
Applications for candidates residing in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha should either be sent to the Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata or emailed to japanconsulate.culture@cc.mofa.go.jp
The selected candidates for the above scholarships will go to Japan in April 2027.
